The first lunar eclipse of 2021 will be observed today (26 May 2021)

Lunar eclipse of 2021: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the lunar eclipse will also be visible in the regions covering South America, North America, Asia, Australia, Antarctica, the Pacific Ocean, and the Indian Ocean.

A lunar #eclipse is sometimes called a “blood moon,” but the actual source of the red color is quite gentle: it’s light filtered through all the sunrises and sunsets on Earth. Here’s our video guide to #LunarEclipse2021 and how to see it on May 26:

In India, there are many precautions and customs (also known as Grahan Sutak) followed during Chandra Grahan(Lunar eclipse).

According to Hindu beliefs, the Earth’s atmosphere is polluted during Sutak and extra care should be taken to avoid any adverse side effects due to contamination.

The #lunareclipse will be visible from various parts around the world, including some northeastern states of #India.#LunarEclipse2021
