Mahi Bhai, aapke liye kuch bhi: Ravindra Jadeja poses with IPL trophy with MS Dhoni after historic triumph

By India Today Sports Desk: Ravindra Jadeja has been a key part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for quite a few years. He has played under MS Dhoni, both for India and in the Indian Premier League (IPL). On Monday, May 29, Jadeja played an absolute blinder in the final against Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

With CSK needing 10 runs to win off their last two balls, Jadeja collected a six followed by a four off Mohit Sharma. The southpaw made sure that the Super Kings won by five wickets (DLS) and equalled the Mumbai Indians’ (MI) tally of most IPL titles (five). Jadeja stayed unbeaten on 156 runs off six balls as CSK chased down a revised target of 171 off the last ball.

On Tuesday, May 30, Jadeja dropped a post on his Instagram account, dedicating the win to skipper MS Dhoni.

Jadeja captioned the picture and wrote “We did it for ONE and ONLY “MS DHONI. mahi bhai aapke liye toh kuch bhiâ€æ”

After playing the cameo against the Titans, Jadeja heaped praise on the 41-year-old Dhoni, who won his ninth T20 title as skipper.

“Want to say big congratulations to CSK fans. Want to dedicate this win to one of the special members of our team – MS Dhoni,” Jadeja was quoted as saying after the match.

Jadeja also talked about his approach while facing slower deliveries from Mohit, who picked up three wickets for GT.

“I was just thinking that I needed to swing hard no matter what. Yeah, anything can happen. I was looking to hit straight because Mohit can bowl slower ones. Want to say congratulations to each and every fan of CSK. Just keep cheering the way you’ve been cheering,” Jadeja added.
