PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna 2020: Everything You Need To Know From Eligibility To Registration Process And Required Documents
A scheme for the welfare of Indian farmers, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna 2020 is purely a central government of India scheme. It is the continuation of pm Kisan Samman Nidhi yojana that was launched on 24th February of the year 2019 and came into effect from 1st of December, 2018.
This scheme has a provision of providing 6000 INR to the beneficiary farmers in the time period of a year. The benefitting farmers will receive three instalments of 2000 INR within every four months; in order to avoid the middlemen and corruption, the beneficiaries receive this amount directly in their bank accounts.
Under this scheme, the whole financial liability with respect to the benefit transfer to targeted beneficiaries i.e. Indian farmers will be covered by the Indian government.

Who is considered eligible to get the benefits of PM Samman Nidhi scheme?
The families of farmers that hold land with their names on landholding that is cultivable are eligible to apply for this scheme. Along with that, families of marginal as well as small farmers can also get the benefits of the PM Samman Nidhi Yojna.
Whether a farmer is living in an urban area or in a rural area if he is a citizen of India, he will be considered eligible to become the beneficiary of the scheme. Now, let’s move further to know, who are not eligible-
- Institutional landholders will not be considered eligible for this scheme
- Retired or present employees, as well as officers of central or state government, will not be considered eligible
- People paying income tax are not eligible
- If any family member of the farmer holds a constitutional post, he or she will not be eligible
- Lawyers, engineers and doctors are ineligible
- People receiving more than 10,000 as pension will not be considered eligible
Apart from these conditions, every eligible farmer can have the benefits of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna 2020.

The process of registration and required documents
The registration process in order to become the beneficiary of PM Samman Nidhi Yojna is not very complex, here is what one needs to do. All you need to do is, approach a state government’s nominated nodal officer or one can also reach out to patwari (local revenue officer).
Along with that, an eligible farmer can also get himself or herself registered as the beneficiary of this scheme via CSC (common service centres) but they have to pay the fees for it. Now speaking of the required documents, holding Aadhaar card is essential, papers of landholding, certificate of Indian citizenship etc. will also be required.
Another important factor is the bank account, as the money will be directly transferred to the accounts of beneficiaries it is quite important to have the bank account and its details.
Beneficiaries can know the payment status at the farmer’s corner on pmkisan.gov.in. The synchronized digitalization with grass-root development is the main pillar of development in India. However, the smooth functioning of the process with honesty is highly important for the desired development.
